This live course is dedicated to all teachers willing to learn how to effectively manage stress in their own life and help stressed students during their online and onsite classes. Teachers can be a great resource for students, becoming well-being activators and facilitators of resilience processes, if they take care of themselves and are able to use adaptive skills to cope with environmental challenges and the stress related to them. The course will provide participants with stress management tools and techniques inspired by the latest scientific evidences in cognitive and positive psychology and by Mindfulness practice, that they can reuse for their personal and professional life right after the course.

Topic 1. Stress in education.

Learn about the origins of stress, the impact that cumulative stress and then burnout can have on physical and mental health and on wellbeing in school. Stress is widespread but it is not necessary and we can prevent burnout!

Topic 2. Recognition and self-compassion to deal with stress.

Learn to understand your stress, identify its sources and signals. Self-care behaviours are necessary to foster wellbeing and a healthy life style, as internal and external coping strategies to deal with stress.

Topic 3. Smart projects and time management tools to deal with stress.

One of the most common beliefs (and facts!) when we speak about stress is that we do not have enough time to do everything we want. Let’s discover how we can nurture ourselves with quality time, manage it and help our students in managing their time.

Topic 4. Mindfulness for stress management: body, mind and emotions in balance.

Learn how Mindfulness practice can help to regulate your emotions, neutralize negative thoughts and reactivate body awareness to cope with stress. Discover how to integrate mindful activities in your life and your lessons

Topic 5. Use art activities to release from stress.

In the last part of the course you will learn how to use creative and artistic activities to release from stress and activate an overall sense of wellbeing and enhance a positive perspective on life and school life. You do not need to be an artist to enjoy art! . Discover how to integrate creative art activities in your life and into your lessons.
